NASHVILLE - Major General Gus Hargett announced today that Company C, 46 Th.
Engineers from Paris and the 730 Th. Quartermaster Company from Johnson City will return to United
States soil during the Independence Day holiday weekend.
“Charlie” Company, 46 Th. Engineers is scheduled to arrive at Fork Polk, LA on

on July 5th.
“ WE are extremely proud to have these units back in the states and look forward
to getting them home within the next couple of weeks.” Hargett said. “Both units did an
outstanding job in Southwest Asia during the War with Iraq. They represented Tennessee well.
They demonstrated the true sprit of Volunteer State by carrying on the great tradition of
generations of Tennessee soldiers.”
Company C mobilized to Ft. Polk on October 4, 2002, and moved to Kuwait
later in October to perform construction missions well before the war started.
The 730 Th. Quartermaster mobilized on January 21, 2003, and provided
support for one of the spearhead units driving into Iraq.
